Q. Please tell us about your job.
Our company manufactures rubber parts for automobiles and industrial products.
We also manufacture for medical. We can manufacture for any industry upon request,
but our main focus is on the automotive industry.
Basically, I work standing up, in a certain place.
I wanted a support tool to use there.
Several particular pressing process requires only 10 seconds for one operation,
so I can not move from the front of the machine.
I have to stay there for long hours with standing.
It caused physical strain.
So, I looked for some support tools on the Internet. Then I found Archelis.
Q. Have you recognized any changes since installing Archelis?
I think Archelis has reduced the burden on my body.
Since installing Archelis, I no longer have “stiff legs.”
I used to feel strange discomfort when walking, probably due to fatigue.
It has disappeared since installing Archelis.
Q. Tell us why the chair is not suitable for the work?
Sometimes, I work sitting, but it is easier to work standing up.
Because I can finish faster and it fits the height of the machine.
If I sit in a chair, I have to step back a little.
I can’t put my chair in the best position near the machine
because it is very dangerous if I hit the chair and fall.
So I have to sit a little bit further back and away from the machine.
In addition, using a chair requires the repetition of the motion of standing and sitting.”
The motion causes the strain and fatigue on the lower back.
Q. What kind of work do you recommend Archelis for?
Basically, I think it is suitable for standing work.
