- Is it easy to walk using the Archelis?

When in “Free” mode, you can walk freely. When in “Archelis” mode, the angle to which you can bend your knees is locked, limiting some actions.
- Can the Archelis cure my back pain?

Archelis isn’t a cure for back pain, but it can help reduce strain on the back and legs. Please see this page for more details.
- Can I put it on alone?

Yes, the Archelis can be put on alone. Putting on the Archelis takes around 30 seconds for a regular user.
- What shoes should I use?

We recommend any shoes (e.g. sneakers, Crocs, safety shoes), excluding high-heels. Barefoot use is also not recommended.
- Is it possible to climb stairs while in Archelis mode?

For safety reasons we ask you to refrain from climbing stairs in Archelis mode. It is possible to climb freely in Free mode, however.
- Can multiple people share one device?

Yes, it can be shared among multiple people. However, the height must be adjusted to fit each user. We would recommend one Archelis per employee.
- How long should I be using it in one sitting?

There is no set time limit for use. We have customers who use Archelis for 30 minutes at a time, and others who use it for 10 hours. Make sure to take your usual breaks during the work day!
- How long can it be worn for?

That depends on the situation and the individual. It is designed to be able to be used in surgeries that last over 10 hours.
- How long does it take to get used to the Archelis?

This depends on the individual, but many people get used to it within a minute of guided use.
- Can I pick things up off the floor while using Archelis?

Yes, you can.
- Is it possible to change the sitting angle?

Yes. Archelis comes with “Archelis” mode and “Stand” mode. The “Stand” mode allows for a higher angle when sitting.
- I can’t get the pin cover off.

Try opening it by applying pressure diagonally.
- Does the Archelis make noise while in use?

There is some noise while walking, depending on what version you are using.
- Can I wear it with something in my pocket?

It’s possible, but for more comfortable use we recommend having nothing in your pocket.
- Can I just put on one leg?

No, please use both legs of the Archelis.
- Can elderly people use the Archelis?

Yes, but please take extra care when getting used to the balance.
- Can women use the Archelis?

- Is it possible to crouch down while wearing the Archelis?

It is possible to crouch in “Free” mode. Please note that crouching and putting weight on the main unit may damage the device.
- Is there anything to be aware of when putting it on?

Please adjust the size to fit the user before use.
- Is it possible to sit in a chair while wearing the Archelis?

Yes, it’s possible. Please note this could scratch the chair surface.
